Also worth a visit is Schindler's factory, where they will see the exhibition 'Life in Krakow under Nazi Occupation', teaching them about the everyday life and tragedies of individuals living in Krakow during the Nazi Occupation.
Life under Nazi rule can also be learnt about at the Galicia Jewish Museum, where educational workshops will teach students more about Polish heroes during the Holocaust and first-hand accounts of what life was like in concentration camps.
A guided walking tour of Kazimierz (Jewish Quarter) shows students what present day life is like in what once was Krakow’s ghetto. This walking tour can incorporate your visits to Schindler's factory and the Galicia Jewish Museum.
An opportunity to behold some exquisite architecture can be found at the Wawel Royal Castle, the burial place of Poland's medieval kings. This is an opportunity for students to learn about another era of Polish history.

Of course, having the opportunity to visit Auschwitz will aid history students in their studies as they will gain a greater understanding of the brutality of how the Nazi's industrialised murder. However sobering an experience it may be, it will be an unforgettable one that brings their curriculum to life.
There will be opportunities for religious studies groups to learn not only about Jewish history and communities but also about Catholicism, with many prestigious churches to visit in Krakow, including St Mary's Basilica.
Visiting the Galicia Jewish Museum will highlight to religious studies students the influence that religion has on society around the world, as well as the importance of social justice and human rights.
