Scuba Diving Trips to Maldives, Indonesia and Curacao.
Think Outside The Classroom
Prices from £1395*
Ever thought about taking your students on a scuba diving residential adventure?
Whether your students are beginners or experienced divers, we specialise in organising student dive trips to unforgettable tropical locations with everything from sharks to shipwrecks and turtles to manta rays.
On our scuba diving trips to Maldives, Indonesia and Curaçao, you and your students will learn more about ocean and reef conservation, experience cultural immersion, see new wildlife and coral formations, all whilst having a lot of fun. We work with tried-and-tested dive centres who welcome school groups and know exactly what is needed, with low ratios of patient instructors to students on courses and small dive groups underwater. Our locations above water are safe and offer a lot of non-diving activities for students to enjoy when they are out of the water too.

Destinations in Asia, South America
Indonesia - Maldives - Curacao
Each of the destinations we arrange school scuba diving trips to has a lot to offer. All are in tropical climates and offer a relaxed welcoming vibe, but each of course has highlights and unique features that can make it hard to decide which will suit your group.
Maldives - not only a famous holiday spot, Maldives has the world's seventh largest coral reef system with a huge amount of biodiversity. There is a lot to see in the corals, but the real attraction of diving in the Maldives has to be the larger wildlife swimming nearby. Sharks are plentiful, whether you want to swim (and pose) with the curious and friendly nurse sharks, or gaze at shivers of white tip and black tip reef sharks swim by in the blue. Manta rays are frequently seen feeding around the atolls, but it's hard to swim without spotting stingrays, eagle rays and the occasional turtle. There are sheltered lagoon dive sites for beginners to master their skills, and more exciting channel dives where more experienced divers can hook in against the current and enjoy the show. We stay on a local island in the Maldives which is small, safe and welcoming.
Indonesia - famous for having the most biodiverse reefs in the world, Indonesia has something for every diver in the waters surrounding its 17,000 tropical islands. We will focus on Komodo National Park, which alongside the marine reserve hosting manta rays, turtles and many interesting reef dwelling marine animals, also boasts live dragons that can be visited on an afternoon shore excursion. When we are not diving we'll enjoy the jungles and caves of Flores. Getting there usually necessitates a stop in Bali, which also offers some beautiful dive sites many of which can be accessed directly from the shore, alongside other activities such as volcano trekking, surfing or visiting Hindu temples.
Curaçao - the Caribbean has a lot of islands and a lot of reefs, but Curaçao has to be one of the best places to dive with a school group. Surrounded by gentle currents and sloping reefs, most of Curaçao's diving can be done straight in from the shore, including some fun shipwreck dives (although only advanced divers can swim down to the MV Superior Producer as it sits around 30m deep - but it's a dive worth qualifying as advanced for which can be done as part of the trip!). The most unique aspects of diving in Curaçao though have to be the opportunity to learn how to track and hunt the invasive lionfish - while these beautiful and deadly creatures are something interesting to spot in the reefs of Indonesia, here there are no natural predators to keep them in check and they cause problems for the other inhabitants of the reef, so why not take the PADI invasive lionfish tracker specialty and help to remove them? They also make a tasty barbecue afterwards! Curaçao also has coral regrowth and turtle conservation projects to get involved in on a trip here which are fascinating ways to show divers how we can do more to conserve the marine world.
What they will learn
Subjects available: Activities, Physical Education, Cultural, Conservation
Students do not have to be budding marine biologists to learn a lot from a scuba trip!
While some students (and teachers!) may choose to further their learning and skills through advanced dive courses, or specialty dive courses, there are many ways in which students will develop as young people during a residential diving trip.
Needing to buddy up underwater and take care with scuba equipment before jumping in makes students a lot more responsible, and the shared underwater experience breaks traditional boundaries between friendship groups and year groups. Taking part in reef clean-ups can be a humbling experience and your students are likely to emerge from the water and return from the trip campaigning for reduction of single use plastics, action to slow climate change causing coral bleaching and the stopping of unsustainable fishing practices.
What's included
After arriving in the tropical paradise of your choice, we'll meet the dive centre team and check the equipment to get everything ready to begin diving the next day.
If you have new divers in your group, they will prove their knowledge from the e-learning course they should have completed before arrival and master basic safety skills on the first diving day.
For everyone else (and the new divers once they start diving in open water) we'll typically head out for 2 dives every morning and most days have the option of a third dive in the afternoon (or at night, depending on experience levels and local conditions).
When we aren't diving, and for the final surface day before you fly home, there will be plenty of other things to do ranging from watersports such as stand up paddleboarding and kayaking to jungle and cave exploration to involvement in conservation activities. We charter a boat in Curaçao and Maldives to claim an uninhabited island for the day and cook up a superb beach barbecue, and in Indonesia it's usually a day in Bali to climb a volcano, visit temples, or go surfing.
Trips include 11 dives and equipment rental as standard for qualified divers, with dive courses such as open water for those new to diving, advanced open water for those who enjoy diving and want to go a little deeper or speciality courses such as wreck diver and invasive lionfish tracker coming at an extra cost.

Transport
We will find suitable flight options to offer you based on the dates you give us when you enquire. Please indicate if you have flexibility with the dates as some flights do not depart daily but offer attractive pricing when you are able to leave the day before or day after, for example. We recommend flights from a range of airlines including low cost airlines, but all flights will include at least 20kg baggage allowance. Maldives: We will fly you to Malé and from there you'll have a speedboat transfer. There are direct flights from London but often it is more cost effective to have a connecting flight. Indonesia: We will fly you to either Denpasar or Jakarta, followed by a domestic flight to Labuan Bajo on Flores. Curaçao: We will fly you to Curaçao.
Accommodation
Accommodation tends to be basic to keep costs lower, but if you would like options of more comfortable accommodation we can offer alternatives. Prices can vary a lot with the season however. Maldives: Students will be sharing twin rooms in simple guesthouses with daily buffet breakfast. Teachers will be in private rooms. As guesthouses are small on Fulidhoo island, the group may be split across two guesthouses depending on availability. Indonesia: In Bali, students will be sharing twin rooms in a 3 or 4 star hotel, with teachers in private rooms. In Labuan Bajo, depending on availability students will either be sharing twin rooms or sharing dorm rooms. Curaçao: Students will share basic accommodation in Willemsted, with teachers in private rooms.
