Visits to the Roman Forum, Colosseum and Palatine Hill are a must when in Rome, giving students a chance to learn all about the ancient history of Europe. Of course, the magnificent work of Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel is a must-see as well.
Students will have the chance to visit numerous museums and galleries, such as the Barberini Palace and the Castel Sant'Angelo National Museum, an ancient fortress built as a mausoleum for the Emperor Hadrian.
All of this and more can be seen at the Time Elevator Rome experience, a multi-sensory show of the most important events of Rome's history over the past 2750 years. Students will be whisked away on a simulated aerial flight showing them the glory days of the ancient Roman Empire and culminating in views of Rome as it's seen today.

Religious studies groups can take a trip to the Vatican museums and we can even arrange a General Audience with the Pope, subject to schedule. With countless churches and exquisite renaissance architecture to behold, religious studies students will learn a vast amount about the religious heritage of this breathtaking city.
Art students are sure to see the beauty in every corner of Rome, with highlights being the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain, two remarkable pieces of Roman architecture. The Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, Borghese Gallery and Museum and Barberini Palace are full of captivating collections of art, including paintings by Caravaggio, Canaletto and Raphael. Students will leave with broad knowledge of the history of art.
Classical studies and cultural studies students will be awakened to the rich heritage and culture of Rome, gaining an appreciation for Roman society, politics and beliefs.
